James has spent his career working across various aspects of sport, esports and major events, including commercialisation, operational delivery, consultancy and sponsorship. James spent three years at FIFA, football's international governing body, where he was responsible for the commercialisation of new products and events.
Prior to that, James headed up Wembley Stadium's Center of Excellence consultancy and training institution, which supported organisations from across the sporting and major events space in every aspect of event design, delivery and productization.
At BLAST, James is Head of Commercial Solutions, with a remit of focussing on destinations strategy, local stakeholder relationships, local sponsorship and other commercialisation of BLAST products and delivery for brands and partners.
Jan is a partner at Simply5, a Prague-based research, insight and brand consulting agency (est. 2008).
He specializes in strategic research, comm, design and innovation development research, and is responsible for developing the agency's proprietary research and benchmarking solutions.
Jan has led multinational projects exploring parenting strategies, the influence of kids and teens on buying behavior, the pandemic’s impact on leisure activities, as well as projects informing strategies of leading brands in the area of gaming.
He is keen to explore and study the gaming landscape, but too clumsy to play.
Matej currently holds a position of Head of Operations and Research at Sponsor.Online. With two degrees in Sport Management he has an extensive experience of working with various top-tier European rights holders including eSports teams.
Hans Jagnow joined the ESL Pro League (EPL) in 2020 as Vice President, managing the partnership operations between ESL and 14 of the world’s best CS:GO esports teams. Before his position at ESL Pro League, he was working as an political advisor for digital policies at the Berlin State Parliament over 7 years; he also served as the first president of Germany’s national esports federation ESBD from 2017 to 2020. Hans graduated from the Free University of Berlin in Legal Studies, including an internship stay in Washington D.C. Most recently he completed an Executive Education program at the Yale School of Management.
Sha is the Head of Partnerships at EXCEL ESPORTS, one of the leading competitive gaming brands in the UK. His main remit is overseeing the servicing, strategy, and acquisition of brand partners, as well as playing a pivotal role in the organization’s commercial strategy. His background stems from working in the sport and entertainment divisions of some of the largest global advertising agencies – namely Omnicom Media Group and Group M (WPP).
Michael runs org-wide strategic projects at Ninjas in Pyjamas, arguably the most global esports organization. In his time at NIP he's been involved with most aspects of the org including partnerships, product development, data science and publisher relationships. Coming from finance and the Chinese tech scene, he's devoted the last four years of his career to helping build NIP to where it is today.
Oliver is currently Commercial Director at BLAST, the esports entertainment company behind the leading tournament series BLAST Premier – overseeing partner acquisition across its various properties.
Prior to this, he spent ten years working in the sport industry delivering commercial partnerships for team and athlete clients in multiple sports including Formula 1, cycling and football; as well as providing sponsorship consultancy to brands.
Forging his career on the B2B side of sport, with Soccerex and as Head of Business Development at Benchmark Sport, the group behind the Sport Industry Awards and Beyond Sport, Oliver has an in-depth understanding of the sponsorship landscape.
Marketing enthusiast with more than 10 years of experience, but mobile and PC gamer in hearth. In past, he represented different marketing roles in two big-corps, currently managing marketing communication and social media in Samsung Electronics Czech and Slovak. For more than 6 years, he actively worked on development of mobile gaming and esport on Czech and Slovak markets.
Kim Lachmann is a Senior Manager in the German Sports Business Group and has been with Deloitte since 2011. His expertise covers strategic and financial issues regarding the sports and leisure industry with a focus on football, sport events, cycling and esports. This includes financial and commercial due diligence processes as well as strategic projects.
Additionally he is co-author of Deloitte’s widely respected sport business publications in the football industry such as the “Annual Review of Football Finance” and “Football Money League” as well as “Let’s Play! The European esports market”.
As a former professional cyclist he has comprehensive insights into professional sports and its environment.
